Short version: this website sets no cookies and uses no third-party trackers, no advertising and no third-party fonts; its only analytics is the cookieless, self-hosted Grynlume (section 3). The workbench computes everything in your browser; nothing you build is uploaded to us.

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany, on servers in Germany. When you visit the site, the server automatically processes technical access data: IP address, date and time, requested file, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website and to keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in a stable, secure service). Log data is stored by the host only for a limited period and then deleted or anonymised. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the host (Art. 28 GDPR).

3. Web analytics (Grynlume)

Grynlume is a self-hosted analytics tool operated by Thorsten Meyer on his own server in Germany. It counts visits, pages, sources and devices without cookies and without storing anything in your browser.

When you open a page, your browser sends the page address, the referring page, your browser type, your screen width and your IP address to that server (grynlume.grimfaste.com). The IP address and browser type are combined with a random secret that changes every day and are stored only as a hash; the raw IP address is never written to disk. Each daily secret is deleted after the following day, so you cannot be recognised from one day to the next or across other websites. How far you scroll and how long a page is actively open are stored as figures on that page view, not as a browsing history. A click on an outbound link or a file download is recorded the same way.

To keep automated traffic out of the statistics, user-agent strings and the host names of referring websites are sent to TypeSafe (typesafe.ai), whose service classifies them. No IP address and no identifier is sent with them.

Requests to the analytics server pass through Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, which routes traffic to the server and provides DDoS protection. Cloudflare processes connection data (including your IP address) in transit on our behalf under a data-processing agreement; transfers to the USA are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.

Statistics are kept for 14 months (at the latest until the end of the following calendar month); aggregated counts without any visitor identifier are kept indefinitely. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in understanding which content is read. You may object at any time by writing to contact@taktsmith.com.

4. Encryption

All pages are delivered via TLS (HTTPS).

5. The workbench (/app/)

The robot cell workbench runs entirely in your browser. Simulations, CAD scripts and IFC exports are computed locally and downloaded directly to your device; they are not transmitted to us. The app remembers one technical preference — your chosen rendering quality — in your browser's local storage. This storage is strictly necessary to provide the function you request (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG); it contains no personal data and never leaves your device. You can delete it at any time via your browser settings.

6. Contacting us by email

If you email us, we process your email address and the content of your message to answer your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual enquiries, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Emails are stored by our host in Germany. We delete your data once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

7. No cookies, no third-party tracking

We do not use cookies, third-party analytics tools, tracking pixels, social media plug-ins or advertising networks. Our only analytics is the cookieless, self-hosted Grynlume described in section 3. Fonts are served from our own server.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). To exercise them, email contact@taktsmith.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.

We will update this policy if the website or the legal situation changes. The current version is always available on this page.
